Conversational artificial intelligence (AI) apps
The goal of “Conversational AI” apps is to make health care feel less confusing and easier to navigate. These apps use AI to give you easy-to-understand answers and help you:
- Understand your health information
- Understand your Medicare benefits
- Identify questions to ask your provider
- Make more informed healthcare decisions
How it works
- In the Medicare App Library choose an app in the “Conversational AI” category. Each app may offer different features and services.
- Verify your identity using ID.me or CLEAR® to protect your health information.
- Create an account and give the app permission to connect to your Medicare information and health records. It’s always important to check the app’s privacy policy to understand how your information will be used and protected. You can stop sharing access to your Medicare information with the app at any time.
- Some apps may use the information you share to give you personalized answers and explain coverage information. You can ask questions like:
- “What does this test result mean?”
- “Explain my hospital bill?”
- “What doctors are in my network?”
- “What questions should I ask during my appointment?”
- “How do I compare Medicare plans?”
- “Is there a better way to organize my appointments?”
