Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) services

Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)  covers a broad range of outpatient primary care and preventive services in FQHCs.

Your costs in Original Medicare

You usually pay 20% of the charges for the  Medicare-Approved Amount . You pay nothing for most preventive services. The Part B deductible doesn’t apply. All FQHCs may offer discounts if your income is limited.

To find out how much your test, item, or service will cost, talk to your doctor or health care provider. The specific amount you’ll owe may depend on several things, like:

  • Other insurance you may have
  • How much your doctor charges
  • If your doctor accepts assignment
  • The type of facility
  • Where you get your test, item, or service
