Flu season is here, which means it’s time to take action, and protect yourself and loved ones by getting a free flu shot.
Flu viruses change each year, so it’s important to get a flu shot each flu season. Once per flu season, flu shots are free for people with Medicare, when you get it by doctors, or other health care providers (like senior centers and pharmacies) that take Medicare.
National Influenza Vaccination week is December 1–7. Make sure to take preventive actions like:
- Washing your hands
- Covering your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze
- Staying home when you’re sick
- Cleaning frequently touched surfaces
Don’t let the flu stop you from enjoying the season. Get your free flu shot today!
