Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Finder Demonstration

The CMS Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Finder was launched on www.medicare.gov on October 17, 2005. The tool is designed to help people with Medicare find a Medicare drug plan that works for them.

CMS prepared a Macromedia Flash demonstration to help individuals understand how to navigate through this new web tool. This demonstration was most recently updated on November 7, 2005.

Performing a search on the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Finder will require at least 20 minutes from start to finish. We anticipate that CMS' Partners will need more than 20 minutes to help people with Medicare.

System Requirements:

• To view Macromedia Flash files, you must have the Macromedia Flash Player (version 7 recommended).
  If you do not already have the Flash Player, installed, please go to Macromedia's Flash Player download page now.
  


• Screen resolution set to 1024x768. To make these changes, please follow the next simple steps (Windows XP):
• Open the Control Panel for your computer (this can be found in the menu after selecting the "Start" button).
• Double click the "Display" (sometimes this is labeled "Display Properties") icon located in your Control Panel.
• Once open, select the tab at the top of the box labeled "Settings".
• In the box labeled "Screen Resolution", slide the arrow to the "right" until the numbers indicate at least "1024 by 768 pixels"  (Please refer to the example here.)
• Now select the "Apply" button located in the lower right corner of the box and select the "Yes" button when asked if you want to keep the new display settings.
• You can now proceed to the instructions for viewing this demonstration. Please Note: When you are finished with this demonstration, simply follow these same steps to reset the display on your computer.

Helpful Hint for Viewing this Demonstration: The demonstration will run continuously from start to finish like a movie. If you need more time to view any portions of this demonstration, please click the Pause   button to pause the demonstration. When you are ready to continue, click the Play   button to resume the demonstration.

1. Clicking the image to the right or the link below will open up
   a new browser window.
2. Depending on your connection speed, the demonstration will start playing momentarily.
3. Use your computer's "F11" key to toggle between Full screen and normal screen. You'll want to view the demo in full screen mode.
4. In "Full Screen Mode", right-click on the Menu Bar, and select "Auto-Hide"
5. Scroll down to access the built-in Macromedia Flash Player control bar for Pause, Play, and Stop options.
6. The demonstration is approximately 10 minutes.
