There is a new way you can move around within the site.

Tabbed Menu Bar: In the upper portion of the web page you will see different "tabs" with linking words on each tab, going horizontally across the page. These tabs take you to information about the particular area you are at in the website. The tab that is highlighted indicates the page you are on while the others are "faded" in the background. An example of a tabbed menu navigation bar appears below. This example tells you that you are on the "Search" tab of the Supplier Directory tool.

Layout/Functionality

• The Search page contains 3 steps that you will need to complete in order to view the contact information for suppliers that provide services or products under the Medicare program. In Step 1, you will need to select from one of the following 5 search options: State, County, City, Zip Code and Name. The layout of Step 2 will depend on the search selected in Step 1:
   
  1. State search– A State/Territory drop-down list will be displayed.
      
  2. County search – A State/Territory drop-down list will be displayed. Once you select a state or a territory, a County drop-down list will be displayed.
      
  3. City search – A City text box, a State/Territory drop-down list and a Distance drop-down list will be displayed. You will need enter at least 3 characters of the city name in the City text box, select the state or territory that contains that city from the State/Territory drop-down list, and select the maximum distance from that city that you would like to search for a supply product/service from the Distance drop-down list.
      
  4. Zip Code search – A Zip Code text box and a Distance drop-down list will be displayed. You will need to enter a valid 5-digit zip code in the Zip Code field and select the maximum distance from that zip code that you would like to search for a supply product/service in from the Distance drop-down list.
      
  5. Name search – A Name text box and a State/Territory drop-down list will be displayed. You will need to enter at least two characters of the name of the supply product/service that you are searching for and select a state or a territory to search in from the State/Territory drop-down list.
      
• In Step 3, you will need to select the supply products/services that you would like to see the supplier contact information for.
   
• The Results page provides you with the contact information for the suppliers in your geographic area that offer the supply products/services you selected in Step 3.
   
• The About Supplier Directory page displays information about Supplier Directory, participating and non-participating suppliers definition and other related information, a link to FAQ section and a note to suppliers.
   
• The Resources page allows you to access other websites that can provide additional help or information that is not presented on the www.medicare.gov website and download the data used for the Supplier Directory database onto your computer.
