Breast Cancer Screenings (Mammograms)

How often is it covered?

All women with Medicare ages 40 and older can get a breast cancer screening mammogram every 12 months.

Medicare also covers digital technologies for screening mammograms. Medicare also pays for one baseline mammogram for women with Medicare between ages 35 and 39.

Who’s eligible?

All women with Medicare.

Your costs in Original Medicare

You pay nothing for the test if the doctor accepts assignment.
